April 16, 2015 – Check out our new animated film “Find the One” directed by Tobias Fueter and Mike Huber (Co-Director Animation). The film was Co-produced with Stories and animated in collaboration with our partners — animation studio ChezEddy in Paris. The film is a magical homage to the world of lingerie visualised in a gorgeous Disney style.

October 10, 2014 – boutiq is thrilled to announce the latest addition to its award winning team by welcoming ChezEddy directors Maxime Bruneel, Felix& Paul, Parallel and Stéphane Berla. ChezEddy is an award winning production company founded in 2002 by Jean-François Bourrel and Jérôme Calvet, located in Paris, with an in-house animation studio and post production facilities.


Sept 9, 2014 – boutiq films working with Creative Director Martin Fuchs, Director Mike Huber and Colorbleed Studios bring Chocolate Brand MINOR to our screens in the form of a photoreal CG red squirrel and a story set in a natural world of luscious forests, mountain meadows and breathtaking alpine lakes.

Taking 7 months of production, the new Minor spots were created from the ground up in 3D and use CGI animation to bring to life a very distinctive cinematic world in which a CG animated squirrel by the name of Split is sent on an incredible journey in search of the perfect nut in order to create his beloved candy bar. This has been an extremely exciting project to be involved in and we have achieved our goal of pushing the boundaries of what is possible in animated creature work at boutiq thanks to the collaboration of director Mike Huber and Colorbleed Studios.

Rounding off this unique cross-media campaign boutiq partnered up with IF Games to create an iOS game inviting the player to help Split collect nuts and experience further stories and animated films along the way. Have a look!

SGDA Swiss Game Award

September 19, 2014 – Our adventure game ‘The Perils of Man’ wins SGDA Swiss Game Award 2014 for Best Video Game of the year. The Perils of Man, the first game by our sister division IF Games, is the winner of the second SGDA Swiss Game Award. The award ceremony took place yesterday as part of the Ludicous game festival.

The Perils of Man centers around a captivating story about a teenage girl who is thrown into a hidden world of time‐travel, global catastrophe and personal triumph when she uncovers a lost technology with the potential to eliminate all the uncertainties of life. Perils of Man is the first release from the brand new game studio IF Games. “For our debut game, we decided on the adventure genre,” explains IF Games co‐founder Michael Huber, “– games that remind us of the ones we played when growing up ourselves.” Have a look at IF Games website.

Wilmaa against Goliath.

Apr 3, 2014 – New Internet-TV provider Wilmaa is making life difficult for established Telecom and Internet giants. Boutiq and animation director Mike Huber were tasked with coming up with the character design for Wilmaa’s new mascot including a premiere spot with a sumo monster as antagonist. A full CG approach was used giving the characters a tactile feel, using a filmic treatment, to give the impression of being shot with real cameras and lighting in a studio environment.

March 25, 2014 – Ever since the demo version of our 3D adventure game “Perils of Man” (developed in co-production with IF Games) was launched on the App Store March 11 this year we have been on an amazing roll. The feedback from the press and the gaming community world wide has been tremendous to say the least.

The Swiss awards for commercials, corporate films and multimedia is placed under the patronage of the Swiss Ministry of the Interior and is being held and organized by the SWISSFILM ASSOCIATION.

Sept 18, 2013 – For Swisscom’s latest campaign evolving around M2M (Machine-to-Machine Communication) eyekon created a beautiful and stylish HTML5 microsite. Boutiq designed and animated the site’s interactive 3D animation, which takes you on a journey through an anonymous metropolis at night. While moving backward and forward through the city streets, the user is encouraged to scroll effortlessly through the content. Truly smart.

Suzuki. Fake Snow.

Oct 20, 2013 – One of the paradoxes of fake snow is that it is better than the real thing. But snow is also one of the hardest of all natural substances to fake. For the world premiere of Suzuki’s new compact car SX4 S-Cross boutiq and director Mike Huber were commissioned by metzgerlehner worldwide partners to create two new promotional commercials involving computer-generated snow. In our case, the final product had to look like snow and, even fall, drift, clump, and stack like snow. So check out our signature fake snow.

Abacus. Smarter.

Sept 16, 2013 – Wouldn’t it be cool if software would actually make your life easier instead of more complicated? Swiss software leader Abacus asked us to come up with a series of web clips promoting their new ERP Software AbaSmart. ERP stands for entreprise resource planning and sounds pretty complex. We came up with a series of ligne claire style animated infomercials made to launch Abasmart, a new people-powered ERP Software running as a mobile app. Working with a small and dedicated team of illustrators and animators we created these quirky and light hearted clips featuring the many practical and intuitive software features of AbaSmart.

Here is a great infographic flowchart that will take you through the many steps of making an animated film from beginning to end. We show it to our clients before we start a project… Just kidding. The infographic was created for the European film distributor Canal Plus as part of their campaign to remind us that making movies isn’t that easy. No kidding.

Mobiliar. The Friendly Pandemic.

August 23, 2013 – Friendliness is contagious. The Virus Mobiliarus is at the heart of Mobiliar’s latest brand campaign, which focuses on the genial spirit that has made the insurance company the most personal and popular company in Switzerland. The film’s message, “our customers are the happiest in the world” is ironically encapsulated in a story about a friendly but highly contagious virus.
Motion Design director Sebastian Harms and boutiq were commissioned by Mobiliar to create a tongue-in-cheek motivational film with a twist. Harms’ craft of creating visually rich clips, and the clever use of transitions allows this stylishly animated, 2D film to leave a lasting impression on its audience, both visually and emotionally.

SIX Payment Services.

Jul 10, 2013 – Have a look at our new product movies commissioned by Six Payment Services. The individual storylines follow different costumers in everyday situations during money transactions. The films facilitate the SIX concept of easy, fast and secure payment services by using stylish minimalistic character design and beautifully crafted animations. Created and directed by Sebastian Harms, the vignettes help explore the complex inner workings behind the Six Credit Card payment system in a simplistic and entertaining manor.
